This post is also available in: Italian
Educators of CEFE (Centro Educativo e Formativo) in Brasilia together with their pupils will design and publish a blog along one year. As a result of the project, CEFE students will gain the technological, methodological and communicative key skills to enter the knowledge society, both in the university and in the job market.
The Education and Training Centre (CEFE) Brasilia is a not for profit association, whose activities aim at implementing programmes for social, cultural, and educational development. The main objective is providing support to young people attending high school in difficult socio-economic situations, through courses, making their access to university easier […]. The structure is located in a suburb of Brasilia, the capital of Brazil, and serves youths from other different cities as Candangolandia, Samambaia, Riacho Fundo, Cruzeiro, Ceilandia, where disadvantaged families live.
This project aims at providing CEFE students with the technological, methodological and communicative key skills to enter the knowledge society, both in the university and in the job market.
The workshop is divided in two main parts: educators are gaining technical skills needed to develop a blog so that they will be able to support their students along the year in the publication of the blog. 15 educators participate at the workshop on how to design and develop a blog, coming from two institutions:
- CEFE – Centro Educativo e Formativo, which supports high school students to improve their educational background in order to help them to enter at university, and
- ANSMH – Associação Nossa Senhora da Mãe dos Homens, which works with primary schools children organizing after school activities.
But the most interesting and important part of the project is the design of the concept of the blog and to plan roles and publication along the year. During the week educators are creating their own blog to exercise both technical and communicative skills.
The computer lab at CEFE is still running and used within CEFE’s educational activities. CEFE staff used digital storytelling on other activities, and collaboration with seed continued with new projects.
