the new version of the website of the nonpartisan and nonsectarian Beogo * – the association’s purpose is:

• Promote or participate in actions, forms of collaboration and Partnership, with individuals, groups, organizations that work for the dignity of the human person, especially in towns or villages where health conditions, environmental, food, educational and social issues are considered poor in terms of material;
• Collaborate to concrete actions and work within micro-projects designed, developed and promoted by local people, with particular attention to the initiatives of groups or women’s associations;
• Financing projects (promoted by communities themselves, local associations or groups), designed according to the principles of environmental, cultural, social and economic balances of the people of the place.

Since its inception the Association has developed a partnership with the Association Zoodo, of Burkina Faso, to finance development projects in the areas mentioned above.

* Beogo Moré language, the language spoken in Burkina Faso, meaning “tomorrow, future, hereafter, the dawn light, knowledge“

during the project meeting

Luca and Isabella are currently in Venice for the kick-off meeting of the ALICE LLP project. It is about digital arts for intergenerational learning. The project is led by the University of Venice, with partners from IT, GR, UK, RO… and seed!

The meeting was effective, and the main projects lines have been nailed down.

Next steps for seed: developing an online unit on digital storytelling, and preparing the next project meeting in Lugano, on May 2-4 2012

By the way, Venice is great when not in the high tourist season! We had a very nice dinner at a kosher restaurant in the Ghetto, enjoying songs for a marriage!

Dopo un viaggio durato quasi una giornata intera, ma una notte molto riposante nella Fazenda di Fabiola che ci ospiterà in questi giorni, Matteo ha iniziati oggi i lavori presso l’Associacao Nossa Senhora Mae Dos Homens di Samambaia, nella periferia di Brasilia.

Ci saranno da installare i 10 computer nuovi acquistati grazie all’intervento di seed*, e da recuperare quanti più computer possibili donati dal Banco do Brazil, su cui testereno una versione EdUbuntu.

Domani arriverà Isabella, che terrà i corsi in portoghese per il progetto Narrativa Multimediale con gli educatori del Centro.

Come immaginabile occorrerà poi organizzare al meglio il lavoro, due settimane volano via veloci… Ora siamo in attesa dell’elettricista ad esempio!!

We will conclude this training program with the SVA users in January, with an even more creative and engaging activty!

We wrote three texts, in which we included also pictures, describing the outdoor training activities we performed here in Lugano. These texts will be part of a broader publication which will include also the description of the outdoor training programmes peformed by the other partners, and it will be one of the project’s products.

Moreover, we are finalising an e-learning module explaining in detail the learning methodology we applied to one of the training activities we designed. Since all the other partners will perform the same task, as soon as all the modules will be ready they will all be available online.
